Country Side BBQ: A Culinary Adventure in Marion, NC

We were very welcomed when we arrived for our first visit. Servers were great, as was the girl cleaning the tables. My husband ordered the brisket which he thought tasted great but the temperature was cold so he didn't enjoy it as much as he could have. I had the chopped pork with coleslaw and baked sweet potato. The pork was pretty good, but a little dry. I only had a couple bites of the sweet potato be use the butter they served us was a vegetable spread, made with hydrogenated soybean oil and palm oil, not real cream butter. The hush puppies were excellent. Crispy, and a little sweet. The coleslaw was just okay as like an ingredient was missing. I ordered the coconut cream pie and was not disappointed! It was really, really good. The ladies restroom was fairly clean with the exception of towels and toilet paper on the floor, but it was getting busy inside the restaurant. Loved the scriptures on the wall in the hall, and the Christian music playing.

Our team placed a small catering order. The service, food and communication was excellent! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Marion area looking for quality food and service.

Stopped at this restaurant while on a road trip and it was a great choice. Food was fresh, price was fair, servers were friendly and welcoming. The sauces tasted delicious, so everyone could get the taste they wanted. If you want to have a great meal stop by this place anytime.

Very large menu with super friendly staff. Everyone that works there is so nice. Service was so prompt and polite. Food came out quickly and was prepared correctly. Their menu offerings are huge! Food was delicious and the place is super clean. Very good place to eat - no wonder it was packed!

This is a feel good dining experience. You sit in an open room with people you don't know and feel like family. I had the 1/2 Smoked Chicken. It was so juicy and had just the right amount of smoke.

Amazing sweet tea! Service is really good “very nice people. It a family place of all generations. The food will keep you coming back for more, absolutely delicious. Oh, and try the honey mustard. It’s really good on the fries

What a Gem! Food was great, customer service was awesome. Owner made a special effort to deliver food and talk / greet the customers. Will definitely be back next time im in the area. Loved it!

Countryside is a wonderful family owned business that has served the McDowell community for many years. No matter what you like, you are sure to find a delicious offering on their menu. Prices are very reasonable and the restaurant is always clean with the staff making you feel like you’re family. The Noyes family are wonderful folks who do so much for the community.
